Bring back the bold warmth of the '70s with the Shag Revival Rug, a plush statement piece from the Madouk x MELLON collaboration.
With its luxuriously deep 1.5-inch high pile, this wool shag rug is both retro and timeless—designed to anchor any room with cozy texture and soulful energy. The design features three minimalist line accents placed in opposing corners, a subtle tribute to the MELLON signature logo.
To honor this iconic style, we sought out one of the oldest and most respected women artisans in our Moroccan cooperative—whose hands have preserved this shag weaving technique since it first came into popularity decades ago. Her knowledge and artistry breathe new life into a design that channels both heritage and rebellion.
Handwoven from 100% raw, hand-spun virgin wool and naturally dyed using locally sourced plants, each rug carries subtle variations in tone, making your piece completely one of a kind.
A tactile invitation to slow down, root in, and feel—Shag Revival brings past and future together in every fiber.
